As of 1st January 2025, anyone looking to obtain a CSCS card will be required to complete a construction vocational qualification – known as an SVQ in Scotland or NVQ in the rest of the UK. Our vocational qualification courses are designed to teach you the skills and knowledge to work safely in a construction environment and achieve your CSCS card.
Getting a CSCS card in Scotland
To obtain a CSCS card in Scotland, you must complete a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) for the CSCS card of your choice. The SVQ you need to complete will depend on the CSCS card you wish to obtain – the table below breaks down each colour of construction card by SVQ:
