Course Summary
This course is designed to assist employers with their legal requirements of The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and provides delegates the necessary skills required to carry out emergency first aid at work prior to medical aid being obtained. This course is formally certified by the First Aid Industry Body and delegates are required to refresh their skills every three years.
Course Prerequisites
No previous experience is required however delegates should have the ability to cope with stressful and physically demanding emergency procedures.
Additional Information
There is a practical element to this course – appropriate clothing required i.e. trousers and flat footwear recommended.

Carry out the roles and responsibilities of a first aider until medical help is available:
- Act in an emergency situation
- Care for an unconscious casualty
- Deal with circulatory and or anaphylactic shock
