Course Summary

This course is designed to give delegates information on various aspects of general safety and manual handling, including regulatory compliance for vehicle wheels and tyres, vehicle walk round checks to ensure that both driver and employer stay within the law, and risk assessment planning as a crucial step in any moving and handling task.

In addition, delegates will have the opportunity to rethink the way in which they lift and carry items at work and explore the safer ways in which to do so.


Course Prerequisites

Candidates must bring a valid driving licence for CPC registration.

Candidates must hold one of the following licence categories: C1, D1, C, D, C+E


Please Note: Regulations specify that ‘a range of different subjects should be covered over the driver’s 35 hours of training’. DVSA will monitor training uploads and potentially take action against drivers and trainers if we identify unnecessary repetition of course attendance in a 5-year rolling period

Therefore drivers should not repeat the same course in a 5 year cycle.
