Course Summary
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) require employers to control exposure to hazardous substances to prevent ill-health. The COSHH Risk Assessment provides formal recognition of competency in undertaking a COSHH risk assessment in line with the Health and Safety Executive's requirements. COSHH risk assessments must be done by employers to reduce the risk of injury or illness to workers and others on their premises.
This is a one-day course which will cover:
- What is COSHH
- The legislation covering COSHH
- Different forms of COSHH
- The Risk assessment process
- Practical application of Assessment
Following the course itself, there will be a short multiple-choice assessment to confirm learning knowledge.

Course Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites to attend this course, although delegates should have a working knowledge of the elements of their company H&S system at their place of work.Key Benefits
