How will the assessment work?
The apprentices will be assessed through practical observation in the workplace. They will also complete knowledge checks and attend an interview based on the knowledge gained throughout the course.
The Urban Driver’s Apprenticeship is a Level 2 course designed to enhance the capabilities of a driver with a Category B licence, teaching them to drive a fixed-axle vehicle over 3,500kg in a safe and fuel-efficient manner.

This is the ideal apprenticeship for a Category B vehicle (car or van up to 3,500kg) driver who wants to enhance their skills and gain employment in the logistics and transport industry.
This qualification is ideal for those who are looking to get into the logistics industry and want to start a career as a professional Urban Driver.
The aim of this course is to provide the apprentices with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully become a professional urban driver. They will be supported by a development coach as part of the process and provided with the training and resources they need to thrive in their new role.
This apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete prior to taking the end-point assessment.
