This course explores all aspects of the correct methods to carry out Brake Testing on Heavy Vehicles, technicians will gain an understanding of the correct processes and procedures to operate, understand, and analyse brake test reports (especially roller brake tests) for heavy vehicles, covering theory (brake types, systems, regulations) and practical skills (running tests, interpreting metrics like imbalance, bind, efficiency) for fleet safety and compliance, During the course learners will cover the following topics:

• Examine DVSA MOT manual for brake test regulations. ·
• Examine brake test examples and calculate brake test results manually. ·
• Examine brake test results and rectify faults according to results.
• Carry out practical brake tests using DTP number & learn how to input brake test manually and compare readings. 
  Carry out Basic rectification checks according to results

On completion of the course technicians will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to carry out effective Brake Testing, interpret data , adhere to manufacturer guidelines and recommend rectification if required.
