Course Summary
The Approved Code of Practices for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations, the Control of Lead at Work Regulations and the Control of Asbestos Regulations require where tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE) is used as a control measure, that this is face fit tested to ensure that it is adequate and suitable to protect the wearer.
This course provides a solution for employers who wish to undertake their own face fit testing in-house. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of respiratory hazards, how to select the most appropriate RPE, how to inspect and maintain RPE and how to conduct a face fit test including troubleshooting.
Attendees will be asked to demonstrate a practical face fit test and complete the necessary documentation.
This course is delivered by a “Fit2Fit” accredited face fit tester.

The course may take longer depending on how much practical experience each delegate needs or how many questions have to be explained and how much discussion there is during the training session.
