Course Summary
As more and more maintenance tasks are being passed onto third party contractors it it’s important to remember that the host organisation is still legally responsible for the health safety and well-being of contractors on site.
This course is designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the procedures involved with controlling contractors and will cover:
- Ensuring that they have the relevant qualifications and insurances
- Understanding Risk Assessments and method statements
- Issuing and controlling Permits to work
This is a one-day course , with a short multiple choice written examination to confirm knowledge.

Course Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites to attending the course, however, It is recommended that staff attending the course have a basic knowledge of their workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
