The Transport Manager (Passenger Transport) CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) course is required for individuals who are interested in becoming a Transport Manager or holder of an ‘O’ (Operator) licence - a legal requirement for companies that ensures the safe management of passenger transport operations.

At GTG, this course is conducted over nine working days (plus one extra day for exams) and is tutor-led by trainers who are experts in the transport industry – applying their teachings to real-world scenarios to make your learning experience as seamless and relatable as possible.

The course will follow the syllabus of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), covering the compliance and business associated with transport, including the following topics:

  • Civil law
  • Commercial law
  • Social law
  • Fiscal law
  • Business and financial management of the undertaking
  • Access to the market
  • Technical standards and technical aspects of operation
  • Road safety

Upon completion of all modules, you will sit your Transport Manager CPC exam – which will take place either online or in the centre you choose to train in.

Course Prerequisites

To take the Transport Manager CPC (Passenger Transport) course, you do not require any previous experience in transport or logistics roles. To successfully complete this course and become a Bus and Coach Transport Manager, delegates should have a good understanding of numeracy and literacy skills.
