Course Summary

Delegates will develop a sound understanding of the key duties, roles and responsibilities of an Appointed Person in the workplace.

Throughout the course, you will learn how to comply with all relevant Approved Codes of Practice and Regulations, as well as being able to produce lift plans and associated risk assessments and method statements associated with lifting operations.

Course Prerequisites

Prior to attending the course, delegates must:

  • Hold a Health, Safety and Environmental (Managers and Professionals – MAP) touch screen test - passed no more than two years before the course start date.
  • Have previous construction experience.
  • Have sufficient experience of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes
  • Good understanding of spoken and written English.
