Course Summary

This course is designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the carriage of dangerous goods by road according to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangers Goods by Road (ADR).

Throughout this ADR course, participants will learn about the regulatory framework, packaging, marking, documentation and safety requirements for transporting hazardous materials safely and legally.

Course Prerequisites

Delegates must meet the following criteria before applying to this course:

  • Be aged 18 or over.
  • Hold a valid form of photographic ID (i.e. Passport or driving licence).
  • Hold a valid vocational licence (LGV C1, C, C+E, or PCV D entitlement).
  • Have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

This ADR course takes place over five days, with each day focusing on a different aspect of the carriage of hazardous materials.

This ADR course covers:

  • Core module
  • Packages module
  • Tanks module (optional)
  • Class 2 - Gases
  • Class 3 - Flammable liquids
  • Class 4 - Flammable solids
  • Class 5 - Oxidising substances and organic peroxides
  • Class 6 - Toxic and infectious substances
  • Class 8 - Corrosives
  • Class 9 - Miscellaneous substances

Driver CPC

This course comprises of 28 hours of Driver CPC out of your total 35 required hours.

Tankers and Tank Containers

If the tankers and tank containers element of this course is not applicable to you, you have the option to opt out of this section. However, as this module is worth seven hours’ CPC, you will only receive 21 hours’ CPC upon completion of the course.
