Individual Training Account

What is an Individual Training Account?

With an SDS Individual Training Account (ITA), you can access up to £200 towards the cost of training courses.

You can use this money to fund training courses to build and enhance your skills, to further your career or improve your skills to apply for a new job – and the great news is, you don’t have to pay it back.

ITA applications are open until the end of October 2020, so don’t miss out.

Are you eligible for an ITA?

You’re eligible for an ITA if you’re:

  • 16 years of age or over.
  • Not in education or involved in any other SDS funded programme.
  • Unemployed and looking to get back into work.
  • Employed, earning less than £22,000 per year and looking to progress in your current or change your job.
  • Resident in Scotland.

How do I apply for an ITA?

Using the Skills Development Scotland My World of Work website, search for an ITA approved course and apply online using the link on the course details page.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email, allowing you to contact your chosen training provider and book your course dates.

The SDS ITA is also available on courses costing more than £200, but you’ll have to top up the remaining balance.
