Alex Sommerville

Commercial Training Manager Years of experience: 31 years in motor trade, 12 of these with GTG Training. Came from: Queensborough Motors. Speciality: All automotive. Interests in automotive: Any new technologies, and really anything to do with automotive from classic cars to motor racing.

Iain Wallace

Iain Wallace

Technical Training Manager Years of experience: 41 years in the motor trade, 12 of these with GTG Training Came from: Central SMTA buses Speciality: Apprenticeships/All automotive.

Andy McChrystal

Automotive Team Leader - LVM and bodyshop Years of experience: 36 years in the motor trade, 12 of these with GTG Training. Came from: Service Manager at Arnold Clark London Road Motorstore. Speciality: Diagnostics and all automotive. Interests in automotive: New technology including hybrid/electric cars, hydrogen cell in general, anything to do with the automotive sector.

Automotive Team Leader - LVM Years of experience: 18 years in motor trade, six of these with GTG Training. Came from: Arnold Clark Nissan. Speciality: Apprenticeships, diagnostics and all automotive. Interests in automotive: Retro cars.

Automotive Team Leader - Bus & Coach / HGV Years of experience: 24 years in the motor trade, three of these with GTG Training. Came from: Self-employed maintaining HGVs. Speciality: Apprenticeship programme, IRTEC, Bus & Coach / HGV training. Interests in automotive: Classic trucks.

William Deary

Team Leader at GTG Edinburgh Years of experience: 25 years experience working for Arnold Clark. Came from: Over the 25 years covering roles as a mechanic, service receptionist, workshop controller and assistant manager within branches, automotive instructor and now team leader. Awarded Instructor of the Year 2019. Speciality: Delivering the MOT managers and testers courses.

State-of-the-art facilities

Our purpose built facilities are designed to provide the best learning experience. Have a look at our Bus & HGV centre in Kilbirnie Street below. What's more, we're expanding in Glasgow with our new workshop adding an additional 17 ramps to our space and 5 additional classrooms.
